Travelling to/from Naples
You can get to Naples also from Rome by airplane/train. After landing you have
to move first from Fiumicino Airport to the railway station (30 minutes by train),
then take a train to Naples (1h and 40 minutes / 2h - depending on which kind
of train you choose). Schedule is approximately 1 train per hour

Arrival/departure
Upon your arrival/departure, or when off the conference schedule, you will need
to know how to get to the conference site or hotel. Bearing in mind that in some
cases taking a taxi can be more necessity than luxury. From the airport you can
take the ALIBUS for € 3.00 (tickets on board) instead of a € 20.00 taxi ride. Ask
ever about the fare before starting the ride, there are fixed fares to/from major
destinations such as the railway station, the harbor, the main hotels, the airport

For more info about how to move in the city during the conference days please

General advices
Naples is not more unsafe than any other big city in the world. We reccommend
to watch your handbags, wallets, watches, cameras and luggage when you walk
around the city. Pickpockets are not infrequent, especially in the crowded places
and on the buses. Do not bring with you or do not show on the street expensive
jewels, computer cases, and hightech stuff such as cameras and mobile phones.
Do not go by night in some areas of the old town such as the Spanish Quarters,
the Sanità and the areas around the Piazza Garibaldi railway station. Ask to the
conference desk and the organizers for advices about where to go, what to see
and to do, or visit the tourist info section of this website
